Build kits

I can supply you with a kit of most materials needed to make a custom carbonfiber bicycle frame.

Kits may change in future upon to customers feedback and experience. It’s not a problem to change kit contain.

So I have now possibility to make such sets:

  1. Basic. No oven, no vacuum. Joints made by wet wrapping. Wet process with room temperature curing resin. Set goes without epoxy resin, to avoid transportation issues and limitations. 
    • carbon fiber tubeset (toptube, seattube, downtube, seatstays, chainstays, bb shell, headtube).  Choose tubes for your set here.
    • flat dropouts made from plate. 5mm AISI 304 stainless steel or 7075Al 8mm or waterjet carbonfiber. Cut by your drawing in .dxf format. Price is 20-60$ per pair.
    • hybryd carbon-aramid fabric 280g/sqm. Can be applied as unidirect: 85% carbon fiber 12k, 15% very thin aramid fiber. 0.5sqm (660mm*1500mm – 1pc)- 20$
    • carbon fiber tow 12k (roving). Approximate width 6mm. Can be spreaded up to 15mm. 185metres, 150grams – 15$
    • microspheres with density 125g/l for making putty. 1l container – 10$
    • silica for making thixotropic putty. 1l container – 6$
    • polyethylene compression heatshrink tape. Goes in sleeve form 65mm width with 200g/sqm density. You can cut it into thinner stripes to wrap complicated shape. 20m – 5$
    • aqua sanding papers P80, P120, P240, P360, P500, P800, P1000 – 4$
    • simple scissors for cutting hybrid fabric. 3$.
    • epoxy resin. Choose from your local supplier. I recommend not less than 2 hours of pot-life.
  2. Advanced. Prepreg, vacuum, oven. Curing starts from 80 deg Celcium.
    • carbon fiber tubeset (toptube, seattube, downtube, seatstays, chainstays, bb shell, headtube). Choose tubes for your set here.
    • flat dropouts made from plate. 5mm AISI 304 stainless steel or 7075Al 8mm or waterjet carbonfiber. Cut by your drawing in .dxf format. Price is 20-60$ per pair.
    • hybryd carbon-aramid fabric prepreg. Can be applied as unidirect: 85% carbon fiber 12k, 15% very thin aramid fiber.  285g/sqm. Prepreg is made in-house, so resin-distribution is not as good as in industrial made solutions. But it good solution for small start because you can order just 1sqm and it will be fresh with shelf life of 2 month in room temperature (20deg C). Curing cycle is 16h at 60deg + 8h at 80deg (or 4h at 100deg). 1sqm price is 60$
    •  plain or twill 3k fabric for final joint decoration. Prepreg with nanotubes. Curing cycle is 16h at 60deg + 8h at 80deg (or 4h at 100deg). 1sqm price is 60$
    • microspheres density 125g/l for making putty. 1l container – 10$
    • silica for making thixotropic putty. 1l container – 6$
    • polyester compression heatshrink tape 20mm width. 10m – 2$
    • aqua sanding papers P80, P120, P240, P360, P500, P800, P1000 – 4$
    • peel-ply fabric – 1sqm – 4$
    • mastic sealant tape – 8$ per bobbin
    • breather fabric – 1sqm – 4$
    • vacuum film – 4sqm – 12$
